A study held at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom shows that participants felt unenthusiastic feelings toward the person they were talking to while using cell phone. The researchers asked 34 different pairs of strangers to discuss important personal events on their lives. The participants are divided by two, half had mobile device while the others had notebook visible. At the end of the study, the results showed that the people who tell their stories with a notebook visible felt trusting and close to the stranger, different than those who had cell phone at hand. This study only proves that cell phones can interfere with relationships, particularly in serious matter discussion. In addition, using cell phones may results to antisocial behavior and cause the users to lose social skills which are valuable in our daily living.
