Smoking heavily damages the reproductive process of one’s individuals. According to a study conducted in the United States, smokers have a higher tendency of being infertile, or even erectile dysfunction. Too much cigarette exposes you on some poisonous chemicals which compromises your ability to produce enough sperm or for women, proper ovulation process. According to the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, Dr. Welch said that pregnant women who smokes had babies born prematurely, babies born too small, babies who die before they can be born at all. It is a sad truth that many pregnant women chose to ignore. The babies; lives are at risk because of too much smoking. “Cigarette smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, including truly nasty things like cyanide, lead, and at least 60 cancer-causing compounds. When you smoke during pregnancy, that toxic brew gets into your bloodstream, your baby’s only source of oxygen and nutrients” said Dr. Welch

Another effect of smoking related to fertility, is having early menopause. For women who dislikes having that muscle cramps every month, this is actually a good news; but for people in medical field, this is actually not. The interruption of the normal process of menstruations is actually bad for the women’s health. The menopause comes 1-2 years early for those women who smokes.
