Ateneo De Manila Law School (89.03)
The Ateneo de Manila Law School was founded in 1936, in the Padre Faura St., Manila campus of the Ateneo. In 1977, it moved to Salcedo Village in Makati, and in 1998, transferred to its present location in Makati’s Rockwell Center.
Ateneo Law School has produced nineteen bar topnotchers, and produced notable individuals in the fields of business, law, and government among others. Former Vice President of the Philippines Teofisto Guingona, Sr., Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Claudio Teehankee, Former First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo, Fr. Joaquin G. Bernas, and Senator Alan Peter Cayetano are all alumni of the Ateneo de Manila Law School.
The Ateneo Law School offers the Juris Doctor (J.D.) curriculum, and is in fact the first in the country to offer this curriculum. Tuition per semester at the Ateneo Law School plays around 70,000 to 90,000 pesos per semester, the most expensive law school in the country.
