Established in 1734, the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law becomes the first law school in the Philippines. It is one of the Top Performing Law Schools in the Philippine Bar Examinations.
The faculty has produced numerous alumni in government, public service, and the academe. It has produced four Philippine Presidents (Manuel L. Quezon, Sergio Osmeña, José P. Laurel, and Diosdado Macapagal), six chief justices of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, and many other distinguished individuals.
